Requirements
- 18 years old
- Obtain a Third Class medical license
- No history of heart problems

- Have a Commercial Pilots Certificate with Instrument Rating or ATP Certificate
- Receive instruction on the Fundamentals of Instruction unless you hold a teachers certificate for 7th grade or better or are teaching at a college or university
- Pass the Fundamentals of Instruction Test unless you hold a teachers certificate for 7th grade or better or are teaching at a college or university
- Pass the Flight Instructors written test
- Receive instruction on and successfully demonstrate compentency in spin awareness, spin entry, spins, and spin recovery
OverviewWant to teach, understand the FAR's better, and become extremely proficient flying aircraft? If that is your desire then flight instruction is the way to go. There is nothing that you can do that will make you a better pilot than by teaching it. Flight Instruction is a wonderful way to inprove your skills accross the board.
There are no time requirements for flight training, though you should expect to fly more than 5 hours. All of that time will be spent becoming proficient flying from the right seat of the aircraft. You will have to perform all of the maneuvers in the Private and Commercial courses to the highest standard. The ground instruction covers the topics in the Fundamentals of Instructing as well as the aeronautical knowledge areas on the recreational, private, and commercial courses.
